Lovely finishes, everyone. These are probably not UFOs as defined by this group, but in November I joined a group on Happy Cloud Creations called UFQ - Un-Finished Quilts. The only "requirement" was the quilt had to be in progress at the time of joining. I've been quite busy, as evidenced by all the red Xs on the progress sheet. The pics show 10 quilts I finished during the challenge -- these are all lap/ throw size and about half only needed binding, so it's not quite as impressive as it looks.

Well done, Belfry!

Belfrybat, it's impressing!

Belfrybat I would say you accomplished a lot! You don't happen to have that printout available as a file you could share do you? I'd love to get all my UFOs written up like that so I could see where each was at and make some progress completing quilts in 2020!!

Way to go, Belfrybat!

Awesome, Belfry! Those all look so pretty stacked and completed.

Way to go Belfry!!!

I made some progress on a ufo today. I had hoped to get it done for Christmas but when it became apparent that wasn’t going to happen I set it aside to finish the Christmas things I needed to do. This ufo is a gift for my youngest son, who just purchased his first home. His birthday is in March so it will be a birthday gift. I’m happy with how it is coming together. I love it when pieced quilts start coming together. They always seem to go faster once you reach that point. It is apparent I’m going to have to make more log cabin blocks for it, but I can put more together and take a bit of a break from them. It was nice to make progress today. Tomorrow morning I have to cook, then we load the car and off to visit both of our families- Christmas Eve is always a busy day. But then it’s just the two of us on Christmas Day & I can sew if I want.
I hope everyone enjoys a stress free, happy Christmas! |

Good for you, ckcowl.... Sounds like a lovely holiday for you and yours. This will be our first Christmas in our new home and, really, our first Christmas to stay home and not spend the day in the car traveling to family. We miss family but are looking forward to the day together, just the two of us. Got some nummy meals planned for us. I hope to spend some of the day sewing, too.
Here is is my finished Lori Holt quilt and another pillow using project scraps.. Ordered an 18" pillow form but, like I said, ready to move on from this project. My hexi UFO is sandwiched and ready to quilt..yea! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season. Be safe and I'll see you next year! |
CK and Teen - way to go! I'm putting up fabric until Thursday as I'd like to use my cutting / dining table to eat Christmas dinner on. Then again... maybe not!
