It's Christmas Eve and I just got home from work. What a busy day with all the last-minute shoppers at our small local grocery store. So glad I can now start my own holiday preparations and maybe get some sewing done as well. I'll be off for the next five days so I should be caught up with all of the mystery clues in time for the next one.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope your holiday season is wonderful.

Finished part 5 and I'm getting excited for there's not many clues left. I can't imagine where the greens and yellows are going to go. I'm sure Bonnie will think of something (smile).

Love those fabrics Angelia. And as usual everyone's clues are looking great.

Those are some beautiful blocks ya all. I just got home from our family Christmas dinner at my daughters. We all had such a great time . Lots of laughs. I want to say Merry Christmas or everyone.

Tweety,
Can you give me the measurements for the strips and the cutting for these HST as I don't have Bonnies ruler? I am, or seem to be, perplexed on making these...
Thanks
Kirsten

Another way to make them if you are going scrappy is to cut a neutral and purple square 3-7/8", draw a diagonal line and sew 1/4" either side of the line and cut apart. You'd end up with two identical, but scattered through the quilt, they wouldn't be noticeable. My favourite, since I am using only one fabric per colour is to use the "magic 8" way. As was mentioned above, starting with a 7-3/4" square makes 8 perfect HSTs.

I have made a few BH quilts with more than 700 HSTs per. Eight at a time is great;who will notice a few repeats? :)
