Very pretty, Krista! Using the two fabrics for the outer 4-patches gives a nice calming effect to a busy quilt.

I finished my En Provence and gave it to my daughter, who loves purple. I quilted it on my regular machine using 5 colors of thread (Aurifil 50wgt.) My daughter likes butterflies, so I quilted them in the yellow patches. This was the first time I made a flange. I used Elmer's Glue to hold the flange on while I attached the binding. It was also the first time I had used wide backing, which I got from Connecting Threads.

Congratulations, Leslie, that is so gorgeous! I love the light and airy print on the backing, and thanks so much for taking the close-ups of the quilting. Your quilting looks wonderful. I think your design choices are great.

Thanks, Lisa and JeanieG. It takes a lot of effort for me to quilt anything, especially something this large, which is why I am more of a topper than a quilter!
