Fabulous Anael. And isn't Excel wonderful.

Anael 06-22-2014 11:04 PM

Jan, you did good! I didn't do a single DJ block this month!

Oh that's a pretty one ... the fabric is kind of neat with the stripes and the shadings. Good choice!

You can join me ....... I am not a purist, and there will be some added in blocks, just because I like to hav emy own spin on things! Likewise, mine is not going to be a traditional setting, so let the purists bash me. My quilt ... my way!!! :D:D:D So, with that done ... did you sit a spell and make another block or perhaps two, to cross the 100 line?

So being that you have yours all on display now ...... I think we need a new picture!!!! :):)

MiraB ...... with those 36 hr days, I am sure in no time you will be on to Instant Insanity!!! :D:D:D
So what are the thoughts about colours/fabrics for it?

I'm kind of running out of display room so I had to jam it in between the longarm and the embroidery ,machine, but you get the idea. It is nice to see everything up there even if it also highlights what needs to be done.

Carrie....I love Jo Moron.
QuiltE....there are some CW with larger prints but many of them could be classified as blenders. I think it's mostly the colors that put them in the CW category. There are certain colors of greens, blues and reds you won't find elsewhere.
Mirabelle...CW would make a beautiful DJ.
Works4me...Craftsy just had a sale and it included KF Shot Cotton bundles. I've never worked with it. Does it handle a lot different?
Anael...what a great idea to use pictures and Excel. You are coming right along with DJ.
Jan....here is the swift kick....:D:D Nothing wrong with getting only 2 done though. I think you have to be in the mood to do a good job and that isn't always where we are. Yesterday I didn't sew a stitch. Maybe today!
...but first I must visit the garden while it is a little cooler and work on the weeds. Maybe some berries to pick too.:wave:

I love the Friendship Tree. Is there a pattern source you could share??? Thanks so much.

works4me 06-23-2014 05:22 AM

MaryKatherine - fabulous.
gardnergal - I've never worked with KF shot cotton as far as I know.
Quiltshaker - Thank you. It is a pattern from Liz Jones - http://www.quiltviews.com/28030

W4Me .... just so long as good things groooooooow and no weeds! :D

Anael ... Oh Myyyyyyy!!! they look wonderful (and lonely!!! ... yes, I know, you have been busy with many other things!:D). And oh so talented you are to figure out how to do this with Excel. Obviously, that is way beyond me!

DHMom ... Thank you! Surely you like YOURS the best! :D You should have brought your Kaffe Shots home with you as your souvenir! Silly Woman! :D

JanRN ... come on and show us your fourteen! No red face to worry about. You did say it was a back-burner-in-between-project!

CarrieM ... join us, whenever you feel up to it!

MaryK ... great new design wall. Though you have lost all your other display area. You could always have put DJ on the stair landing (upstairs!)

GGal ... thanks for the further info re CW. I used to think their colours were all mundane and drab, then OKSGlad showed me some of the brighter ones. I don;t know if I have ever really seen a CW display at any of the LQS'. When I go on the July Shop Hop I will have to ask specifically, just to get a good look ........... not like I need more fabric! :)

No more DJs here ... almost caught up on my other To Do's, then I can switch back to DJ! Yeaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Stuffing envelopes. Paid bills without knowing $ in the milk check, but got to get it done before the week begins. Then bed time!

Ah, the milk check! We milked for years, but it was long ago. I had forgotten the phrase. :)

Life revolves around the milk cheque on a dairy farm.
When we sold the cows ... I kept looking for that cheque on the 20th!!! :D:D
