Congrats on the 930 - is it the older vintage one or the newer model? Bernina used that model number twice so it gets a bit confusing. I believe the older is the Record 930 and the newer is just refered to as the 930. My husband is in love with the older model.
I'm about half way putting the blocks together on the present quilt. Once I get this done I have to switch gears and work on the baking for a retirement quilt. All the signature blocks are going on the back. Once that is done then it needs to be quilted. The person has no firm retirement date, she's working part time now and think she'll just fade off the scene at some point. She was my boss for many years and one of the three Exec Directors. We are thinking of presenting it at the Christmas party, I'll leave that part up to Human Resources (she was their boss for even longer). |

I think we are all envious of your "new" machine, Anael!
I am finding out some fascinating information...the internet can take you on such a circle or down some rabbit holes. Let me explain...I have some more family linens to clean and I'm out of Oxy-Clean and don't want to go out in the chaos just to get some. I looked on the O-C container for ingredients and was referred to the website. I found what I wanted to know...I can make my own with washing soda and oxygen bleach which I have on hand. In this search I was looking for definitions of ingredients...the best source was: https://www.cleaninginstitute.org/cl...edients_2.aspx https://www.cleaninginstitute.org/ This site has the history of cleaning products which I found interesting...you may want to check it out. One of the problems with cleansers is how they act with hard water (which is a problem here) and that hard water may have extra calcium, magnesium, iron and manganese...so the next rabbit hole is how or if hard water consumption affects dairy cattle and milk production. Water is so important for cows to consume in order to produce milk...okay you may NOT want to check it out, but if I come up cyber missing I have fallen down that rabbit hole before I go and soak some more linens. I guess I'm just a useless information junkie. OBTW I am coming up with some fun ideas of what to do with the linens!!more to come on that later. At this rate I will never get a JK quilt started:D |
LOL OK you can change the size of the blocks and make a mini JK. That might appeal to you :D :D
I'll check those links you gave us later. |
hmmmm...never thought of that...a miniature Gypsy Wife....hmmmm....Teen are you game for one too?
|
Glad you didn't ask me :D :D :D
|
I only asked Teen cuz of her recent obsession with the tiny things!! But if you are up to the challenge......
