Oh- I just love teh soft colors, put then I own a pink iron so I guess I love pink!

I've used the 1/4" bias tape maker for making "leading" for a stained glass look quilt. it felt like I made a couple of miles of it! I know I bought a lot of the fusible tape to go with it, and had to order more twice to get the quilt done. I used black batik as it holds the crease very well. I don't care for working with batiks except for turned edge applique.

BTW I have the maker that has the slot to help feed the fusiable tape as you make it, but had too much trouble with that so ended up using it without putting the paper in the slot. My problem was that the fabric was stretching ever so slightly as I pulled, and then ease back when I ironed, but the paper did not ease back so I kept ending up with more paper being fed than fabric and then it would want to curve and not line up correctly.

Also, I don't use steam so had no problem keeping my fingers very close to the iron as I worked.

Thanks Teen :D :D

Did any of you hear of the Dessert Sampler? As far as I know the pattern is not for sale, only available as kit. Fabrics from Moda. One of the members of the facebook group said she got the pattern with a class. This is the design:

Never heard of it. That is a cool sampler. I see the dreaded "New Mexico block" is in there. Lol! Are you thinking of buying a kit, Anael? I actually found the pattern book for sale..

That's a pretty sampler quilt Anael.

Anael 01-02-2019 08:38 AM

No kit, I like to use my own fabrics. I thought we could figure it out ourselves without having to purchase the pattern. Thanks for the link Teen!!

From what I see all blocks can be paper pieced so no problem with New Mexico or any other block.

Looks like a great sampler that can be done with any type of fabrics! Thanks for sharing. Oh and love the pretty pinks, Anael!
