Thank you! He's been on my bucket list. Just loved him for some reason.

Anael, I love this block. It is adorable. Teen, your's is adorable, too.

In the GW Facebook group I see several quilts with a pieced border. I think I will do that too. So back to the sewing machine with the Gypsy Wife it will be!

Thank you Blue Bell!

Thank you, Blue Bell!

Anael....what is the pieced border you are planning? I prefer borders on my quilts. I think I've only made 3 quilts without a border so I'd probably do a border on GW, too.

Carpet re-stretched.. Putting rooms back in order and packing some sewing stuff while I'm at it. Thank goodness that is over and praying this fixes it. I'm just grateful most of my stuff is already packed.

I'm doing just as Jen suggests in the GW book: 4" finished blocks and fabric strips.

Anael, your last two blocks are sew pretty. I actually like the turned tulip. It does seem more "real" that way. And, more great colors. Your border for the Gypsy Wife Sounds fun. I can't wait to see it finished.

Teen, sorry to hear about your carpet problems. But, if it works out, it sure will be a money saving problem. Although, the work to move everything is sure not fun by any means. But, you will be another step closer to finishing packing up for your final move. When will that take place? It is the worst living half in one place, half in another. I miss seeing your progress as well. Glad your supplies have finally been delivered. It stinks to run out in the middle of things. Sometimes, that's how UFO's are "born". Of course, I know that is not how you run your show.

I am still working on depression blocks. I have finished row 1 and 2 and am now working on 3 and 4. For all the orange and pink scraps I though I had, I am worried about running out. Oh well, I have lots of pink and orange in the scrap bin if need be. I will just keep piecing until I run out. And, then I will do whatever I need to do to finish.

Thank you Judith!
Tell me, what are depression blocks? Not the ones you get depressed because nothing fits?
Orange and pink together, sounds good to me! I love contrast and colours I once was told won't go together.....haha!

Here's a photo of the first two rows.

It's called the "Depression Block" on quilterscache.com. I think it's called that because it can be a great scrappy block also using anything on hand. You just have to be very careful of the light and dark placement. Here's a photo of a scrappy Depression Block.

I fell in love with an orange and pink quilt in a magazine I saw once. I just love the two colors together. So, I had all these extra scrap triangles, so, I just went for it.
