Teen, have you already looked at the Happy Birds pattern? I have just now and I'm confused. About the hexagon border she states to cut templates to exact size. Is that the template pattern without the seam allowance as I suppose the inner line on the template will be the exact size of the hexagon. Clear as mud? I hope you understand what I mean.
If so that would mean we (I) have to cut 64 appliqué paper hexies the size of the inner template and 64 fabric hexies about 1/8 " larger. Or would 1/8" seam allowance not be enough?
