Yeah, me! (ok, that's too short)

Hahahaha you did it Wannabee!!!! Great supervisor, the quilt is very comfy!!
|
Only took 3 tries. I don't really know why I had a problem.
|
LOL Wannabee, fact is you did it, that's what counts :)
I'm working on the double Drunkards Path and can't get it right. I'm a seamstress (among other professions) and somehow I can't do curved piecing. I can make jackets, dresses, man's stuff but no curved piecing......go figure!! So now I'm considering replacing those blocks. |
Oh...I'm sorry, Anael...those are tricky. You pin, right? Try a little dab of gluing instead. Not sure how you are attempting it but I sewed the inner ring to the big piece first. While sewing I didn't attempt to keep it flat but just allowed it to naturally curl, you know what I mean?

I did sew the inner ring to the big piece first. I'll try once more and glue instead of pin. If that doesn't work I will replace the block.

Santa assembled..... I played with this for a few days and decided against making all those pieced blocks. I used the one I made a month ago in the center and designed Christmas tree applique blocks to balance it out. I really like this. After I quilt this, I'll be doing a scalloped edge. Never done one but if ever a quilt that called for it, it is this one. So off to youtubes and the web abyss to learn. I love the border fabric and thank goodness I had enough that I could without piecing..

Looks like a winner!

The santas look adorable and your trees break it up beautifully. Love the border print.
