If you would like to be added to the group activity click on my screen name or icon. Then click on Send PM. That is how you get on the list to be adopted or to adopt others. That way I'll know you want to be added.

Fairiegirl721 has three mommies already. If you read back a page or two there are many who don't have a mommy yet.

I am willing to adopt someone. Been at quilting for about 15 years and sewing since about 10 or 12. I have done about everything I think except snippets. One of my favs and I have done several are stack 'n whack. I have done paper-piecing. I have a long arm too. Let me know--I don't bite! I am not saying I know it all but I have done so many quilts I can't remember them all. And what I don't know I can find out--tee hee.

Hi Fran,

I'm a newbie and would love to be adopted!

Might be a bit of a challenge though as I live in the UK!

I am a somewhat new quilter..maybe four or five years..self-taught,mostly. I have been doing all sorts of other sewing for many years..the thing I struggle with most on quilting is binding..how the heck do you mitre properly? I just can't get my brain around that one. Help!

It will be fine. We both speak English. I don't know metrics though. So I guess you are now adopted. Send me private message if you want.

Once you have done one, you think, why did I think it was difficult? remember to stop 1/4" in at the corner on both sides of the border.

apparently i think i need a mommy or daddy...
i used to make simple tied 9 patch baby quilts. in the past and just came back to it. and 1 that i hand quilted.
i moved 1600 miles away from my DGM and every1 else ive ever known, so i dont have any1 here to help me figure it all out as i start into more complex patterns.
dont really want to clutter the board with simple questions like "if a pattern calls for 4 1/2" pieces, can i use 2 1/2" pieces to make smaller quilts?"
Im feeling a bit lost. lol
