I'm in Michigan and will adopt you.

Quiltmom, I will gladly be your adopted sister. Hope you won't regret your generosity! I may have lots of questions. :)

Is there hope for me? Is there a mommy out there for me? Or perhaps a mentor daughter? I'm 54 years old and I never was much of a seamstress - think seventh grade home-ec. I do my quilting by sewing machine (Singer's Quilter Companion).

I'd be glad to be your quilting friend - can't be a mommy because we are too close in age! If you haven't had someone else volunteer, let me know. I will answer any questions, and find answers if I don't know.

jolo 08-08-2010 03:33 AM

FMQ is free motion quilting, sitd is stitch in the ditch.qayg is quilt as you go. sometimes we take text messaging to far I think. It takes longer to figure it out as to type it in. lol

maidmarion.............I am will to share any information I know. I have done a king size log cabin quilted on my own machine......not a long arm, won't do that again.........talk about learning........sheesh............I changed my thread..........light for the light areas of the block, and dark for the dark...........but I am pleased with the end result. I mostly do seasonal wall hanging quilts for my front door. Also table toppers.......some garments too.....I am no longer able due to vision to do exact sewing ........I was spending too much time with my seam ripper...........so if your willing so am I..........I don't know it all ...........still learning myself.............you can PM me................calla/Sue

Please Adopt me....I can make the very simple log cabin pattern, but need help in so many areas. I am interested in learning more about FMQ on a frame, paper piecing, and am very interested in learning to do an art quilt (purchased the book, but haven't started any yet).
Thank you for being interested in being my mommy or daddy.
