Fussy cut top left, very blue block with blue background in the center, and lower left brown/blue star. Is this my guess, or my favorites? :-p Upper right is nice, the fussy cut flag is nice, and the double pinks are nice. How to choose??! |
Why ever did we do plaidsys, when you have such lovely CW prints? lol
|
I love the shirt plaids, too!

Google "civil war fabrics" and you will see many examples!

Very pretty, Sewbizgirl!
I have the blocks and the 16 patches completed so I need to look up the next step. |
Mine is out for quillting at a LA, then I will have to bind it. Getting close.....
|
Stunning! I like both the piecing and the quilting.
|
SBG, It's a beauty!
|
Really beautiful! Love the colors and the restful, peaceful feeling I get from looking at your block. Thanks for sharing.

Finally got mine done:

Jane: Congratulations on finishing it! It is gorgeous.
I have been working most of the day today trying to finish the top. I had all of the blocks made last year and finally added sashing this week. Today I finished the main part and started working on the corner and setting triangles for the border blocks. Hopefully I will have the top done tomorrow. |
That turned out gorgeous, Jane!! What a treat to see it!
|
keep at it teacher! I had the most trouble with the boarder. But it was well worth the trouble.
|
Jane: Thanks for cheering me on! The setting triangles for the border blocks were driving me crazy! I have the second side almost done and I will be using the border blocks for the top and bottom, I think, but they will be straight across with sashing in between. Extra side borders may be needed to fit the sizes my church group likes. I do have the 1" red border cut and am sewing the pieces together as I am using a bunch of small pieces.

We are all waiting to see it, Connie!

My finished top! I think it took me longer to do the setting triangles than it did all of the squares put together. :) Thanks JaneQuilter and Sewbizgirl for the encouragement. #771 |
How beautiful, Jane Quilter! And what a charming back. Congratulations on a wonderful finish!
Way to go, Connie! That turned out great. |
It looks wonderful, Connie! Congrats on reaching that milestone.
