I love the gnomes on the right side of the picture. Who added those in? Are they paperpieced?

That's what I thought too, Ibex, about that checkerboard frame....don't know yet who to thank for that or the other adds-who did which....
I haven't seen it up close and personal yet...only photos of it so far....hope it was ok to post sneak peeks....

guilty for those...they are applique - mostly raw edge, but some turned edge - and a bit of chenille-it for the hair & beard...

I can't wait to see all the photos of each quilt, the progression from #1 to #6!

I am readyto see everyone's 1-6 steps, too. Is anyone doing anything else to their quilt for the final photo? I am seriously considering bedazzling the treasure in my hands as it would be appropriate for my theme... Whatcha think? I've never done that kind of embellishment before. If I hate what I do, I can cut the theads to the jewels and the quilt will go back to its original gorgeousness. I cannot believe how different it is from what I started out with. Seriously, you all have given me a blue ribbon wall hanging!!

There are instructions posted now in the Class for what needs to go into the galleries. He intends to have a Final Showcase Gallery where the picture of your finished quilt (taken directly head on) with your name on a piece of paper in the right hand corner at the bottom of the frame (picture 07 without you in it) is to be placed.

There will also be a regular gallery with all your 1-8 pictures posted, including #7. Remember, #8 is supposed to be you holding your flimsy with a big smile.

You can pull up the class and click on the pdf info on the left of the class link to read all about it.
