I've got fabrics selected and cut out for the June block. I'm not sure how soon I will be able to stitch it up though. Our summer schedule is filling up!

I need to get going. I'm so far behind. At least I've printed the patterns though.

I'm behind, too, SusieQOH. I want to catch up with the Harriet's Journey group before I get back to this and the Old School BOM. Fortunately, the patterns will keep!

I got June's block finished today. Maybe it's the heat, but I sure did need to keep "Jack" handy! He got quite a workout. I'll post a picture as soon as I get a chance, but it may not be too soon.

Joe’s mom...
As I saw your block with the “cluttered background” I thought oooh I love that! I’ve gotta remember to use different background fabrics like you did. I just kept studying that beautiful block. I don’t think I would have thought to do that and I really love the different backgrounds... it’s scrappy!!! I bet once you “clutter” other blocks background you’ll begin to really enjoy the beauty. I know I sure do think it’s beautiful. It’s more eclectic and feminine to me

Thank you for those encouraging comments, alaskasunshine! In retrospect, I think it was the low contrast in some of those fabric pairings that bothered me, more than the busy look of the blocks.
