Block 5 Double X was a lot easier than that block 13. Block 5 went together very quickly.

Love your Christmas block DottyD. I bet your quilt is going to be so beautiful. I have all of my blocks caught up and took pics but waiting for someone in my house to help me post them. I was out of town for 4 weeks so I did some super duper fast sewing to get done. Can't wait until tomorrow to see the new block.

Morning all. Block 16 has been posted and I have noticed an error.
Block A should be 1- 2" x 33" Brown 1 ( not Neutral ) and 1 - 2" x 33" Blue.
I have contacted Debbie - I was awake earlier than most of you here in the UK - LOL !!!!

Another block done. When I started sewing these blocks, I needed a faster way to make HST's. So I found the oversize method of making 8 at a time. For a couple of the blocks, I made 8 when I only needed 4, so 4 sets of those found a home in this quilt. It was more fun just to trim up the HST's and not have to make them from scratch. Here is block 6 Flying X. Got 7 of 16 made now. Too bad that after today I will be away from my sewing machine for a week. I think I could have gotten caught up. Oh well, I still have two weeks before the last block comes out.

Great block Barb... I just bought some of that light brown squiggly that you used for your "X"! I'm going to use it to sash (join) a QAYG I am working on.

Thanks for the head's up on the errors, Dotty. I'm sure she will issue a correction. I usually don't read the instructions anyway, just look at the illustrations and make the block my own way.

I thought this block was tough. This is my rendition in Fresh Lilac colors. I'm getting behind. I guess that is a good thing since I hadn't started on the newest one. We are winding down. Should be getting instructions for our sashing and borders soon??

Marcia
