well, better late then never! I have been working on my IC, I'm adding a granny flower to the center of the open block. I'm trying to post pictures, but they seem to be failing to upload. I'll see about fixing it & try again later.

I think I solved the problem. I'm making mine a king size.

Cindy, I can't open the attachment you included in your message. Tried to open your BlogSpot and was told it is not secure. Hope you can include your photo in a message.

Your pink hexi-flowers really bring out your beautiful fabric colors! I really like your choice of tone-on-tone for the whitespace, too! This will be quite the lovely finish! Keep us posted

Wow Cindy, that looks great. What a nice addition the flower hexies are to your background blocks. Quiltbarbie, your cats are also terrific.

The flowers are a wonderful addition to your quilt. Are they sewn on by hand?

no, by machine. I did the hexis by hand tho. I came up with a new way of doing it. I sewed the petals to the center, pulled the card out of the center hexi, then went back & sewed the side seams of the petals together. This way I didn't have to bend the cardboard of the center & ruin it. Also, it handles much easier.

What a fantastic idea and it just so happens that I have a great many flower hexies. Can I use your idea?
