I remember that quilt a long - mine had coral stars with purple binding. I gave it to my sister - she must have liked it - it went to the hospital with her and then into her casket. Sad, but I'm glad the quilt brightened her days a little. I like yours.

I too miss the lovely train rides we used to do.
Well I didn’t get my UFOs done last month. I got side tracked quilting 5 baby tops for a friend and working on current projects. I did get 2 slow fun current projects completed. California from the Laundry Basket quilt and Pat Sloan’s Jelly roll QAL mystery from last year for Christmas in July. I change up step #4 block and the borders. I Used ideas I saw on face book and fabric I had to finish to my liking. Later today I need to give them to be displayed at a quilt show. I’ll show pics after the show. It’s the Kansas City Regional Quilt show, in Overland Park Convention center in KS. June 17, 18 & 19.
my goals for UFOs this month. Quilt a blue and wine batik top, ( next top to be quilted). Then quilt a raggedy Ann top and pat Sloan’s traffic jam top. So I guess I’m going for 3 finishes this month.
Well, have fun everyone. My weather is perfect for me. 80’s, light wind and sunny.

I miss the trains also. I only did a few of them but I followed along on others.
happylab: Congratulations on getting your quilts into the quilt show. I look forward to seeing them later.
This week our high temps are supposed to stay in the low to middle 90’s. Yuck! We may have met our average 90 degree days of weather for the summer by Thursday. It will be good weather to stay in my lower level and sew, hopefully, on one of my UFO’s. I have a quilt top I want to finish first.

Making progress. I layered 5 of the 6 quilts I took to my retreat! Ran out of spray baste. (Rats!) Two got quilted today, but those are not really UFOs. They are only ones who we hanging about and not being finished because I don't have a place to lay them out for sandwiching. Goal for June is to quilt and bind two UFOs by the end of the month. Fingers crossed.
