Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheese Ball??
My first thought was ewwww ick .... no way!
Then I started to get intrigued ... but still really hesitant.
Has anyone made this (or similar?) before?

Thank you!!
Looking at the ingredients, the good news is that I could easily cut them down for a mini trial run!

........ and why I am now to the total hesitation point, as I can already tell that "if" I like it, I just won't stop. Of course, there is still the fact that my first hesitations of the ick-factor may be right, then I have a total wastage!

For many years I served a similar version at our Christmas in July party and it was always a big hit. For fun, serve with chocolate animal crackers if you can find them, vanilla wafers, chocolate or cinn. graham crackers, or even Keebler choc. covered graham cracker cookies! I always rolled mine in 1 cup of chopped pecans and put the mini chips in the ball itself. You can also make it into a log. For those of you that are thinking about cutting calories. etc., do not substitute fat free cream cheese. It gets too soft to roll, and then it should be served in a bowl. As the old Life cereal commercial used to say, "Try it you'll like it!".

I haven't made this one, but a few years ago I used to make a red velvet cheese ball. I don't remember the ingredient amounts but it included the cream cheese, butter, and red velvet cake mix. It was rolled in the mini chips and served with vanilla wafers or graham crackers. Everyone loved it.
