This is the same recipe I use, but I use cake flour instead of all purpose floor, which makes a finer crumb. Try it, you wont be disappointed.

edensgate=do you mean not as heavy or fluffier? I'll have to try it and see which way I like it best. I love this cake. I have a Chocolate Coconut Macaroon cake too I'll have to post tomorrow.

It produces a finer texture in the cake. I find it more pleasing then using all purpose flour.

My mom makes these all the time and I would advise for best results DO NO SHAKE THE PAN TO EVEN OUT THE BATTER. If you do it will cause very dense spots throughout the cake.

Just to let you know, I baked the Cream Cheese Pound Cake and it was enjoyed by everyone who had a piece. I shared some with our Associate Pastor and he could hardly wait to sink his teeth into it. He loves pound cake. I told him this was a "new" recipe for me. Thanks so much for sharing, "kacklebird."
