One 29 oz. can tomato sauce
One 6 oz. can tomato paste
2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. sugar or sugar substitute (I use Splenda)

Mix all ingredients in medium saucepan, cook at a low simmer for 1/2 hour for the flavors to meld.

This recipe is very versatile you can add your favorite things, hamburger, ground turkey, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, canned diced tomatoes (drained), smoked sausage, meatballs, just make sure that anything you add is cooked first, since it only has to cook for 1/2 hour. Enjoy!

Not sure if it freezes well, I guess it would, I always use it as I make it.
