Default Great tasting vanilla ice cream recipe. Easy too.

I go this recipe in an email and I tried it. I was really surprised at how good it is and I'm very picky about ice cream.

real vanilla about two teaspoons ( I use vanilla bean crush)
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened Condensed milk
Mix and pour in counter top ice cream maker (I have the Cuisinart one)
Add Half and Half until container is at the full mark. About 2 cups.

Will try today after a trip to the grocery. Vanilla is my favorite ice cream. Thank you

I bet that is really good! sounds rich.

The Starbucks Frappucinos in glass bottles make great ice cream too - I find them too rich to drink straight.

I have also made ice cream from the liquid (any flavor your hear desires) coffee creamer - toss it in the ice cream maker (Kitchenaid) and it makes a quick ice cream (still need to let it set about 4 hrs in the freezer). And if you want it a little richer, can add a canned milk or cream. :-)

I made this again using the cans of milks plus 1/2 cup half and half, 1/2 cup heavy cream and one cup of Blue Diamond almond and coconut milk, approx measures: Using up the last bit of milk in the cartons in the fridge. It was very good. My family ate it all as soft serve, not waiting for the freezer time.

I would not even put this in my coffee, let alone eat it by the bowlful. It is LOADED with trans fat - sure, the label will say "zero" because the serving size is one tablespoon. But one of the main ingredients is hydrogenated oil - trans fat - very bad for you. Unless you are using a fat-free variety, in which case, who knows what it is made of.
