I made it this pm and it turned out great even tho' I reduced the sugar to 2 tbsps (diabetic DH). Thank you!

Your welcome...maybe you can switch to Splenda....would that be better for him? This is so nice toasted too....

Some sugar is needed to feed the yeast. We shall enjoy with friends at brunch this am.

I used it not drained but not a lot of juice either. If you find the dough a little sticky just add a little bit more flour.

I have to be honest amma and tell you I just finished a piece. My bread machine is a 2lb loaf one and I did double the recipe in it helping it mix. Then when ready I took the dough and made 3 - 1 lb loaves......took a warm one over to my neighbour had one here and one to freeze. Makes a nice moist loaf but I hope I get some to toast!!! :)
