For me, this works like a charm. In Canada, we call it a pastry blender but may be called something else in the States. You chop down on your items until they are the consistency you want. Makes perfect egg mixture for egg salad.
Great idea! I use an egg slicer for my eggs. Put your egg in, hold over a bowl and slice. Add your favorite ingredients and stir.

Your neighbor has a great idea. I slice my boiled eggs with the egg slicer, then chop them up with the pastry blender. Then put in the remaining ingredients.
