Miracle Whip is sometimes referred to as Salad Dressing in recipes. It looks like mayo but is totally different in taste.

When I was a kid I would come home from school and have a Miracle Whip sandwich. I use both now.

Recipe sounds good, but it makes so much, I'll have to wait to try it when I have a crowd to feed.
Miracle Whip or Mayo, doesn't matter. Someone in my family would complain!

Thank you everybody for trying to educate me.
I prefer mayonnaise, and Hellmann's in particular here in the UK. There are some lower calorie versions of it around, but I prefer the real thing. We also have lots of various ready made dressings on the shops, and some people love Salad Cream, this also comes in a bottle, has egg in it, but it is not sweet, more salty vinegary, and is yellowish in colour, so I do not think it is comparable to Miracle whip.
I will stick to Hellmann's!

Sash, my daughter always wanted mayo sandwiches in her lunch when she was in elementary school. I tried to talk her into something different. One day she came home from school and said "Mom I know what you can put in my lunch". I couldn't wait to hear the news!! She traded her sandwich with a friend and now wants only MUSTARD!! 62 years later she still loves mayo.

I'm thinking one could downsize this by halving all the ingredients. Perhaps add the extra veggies and beans to a soup?

Mayonnaise is just that, mayo, with just a couple ingredients. Miracle Whip is a salad dressing, says so right on the jar. Has lots of ingredients. You can get the MW taste by adding all the ingredients on the side of the jar. My one aunt had a recipe for Salad Dressing, it tasted just like MW, but it started with mayo. We only use mayo. I remember a friend being so upset a salad of hers never tasted like mine. I asked he what kind of mayo she used, she said, Miracle Whip. There you go.

Tranum I am making this for the 4th of July. I will use my Hellman’s mayonnaise because that is what I use. I know it will be really good. Living alone I never buy two things when one will do. Lol

I'm a Hellman's girl. Whenever someone complements me on my pimento cheese, I stress only full fat, yellow label Hellman's. It's amazing how many people substitute and then wonder why it doesn't taste the same. DH was raised on Dukes, and hated mayo. Now he's a mayo fan.
