I have a food network waffle iron that is square. I make french toast in it. With (Texas Toast) bread and with my french toast mixture. Sounds crazy and it probably is but it makes 4 pieces of french toast that looks like a waffle. 4 pieces fit perfectly.

DH likes French Toast "waffled " like that too - he likes it crunchy, I like soft and goopy.

Never thought of that either - might try a couple tomorrow morning though. Thanks.

Sounds yummy. I like French toast and Waffles with applesauce on them, not as sweet as syrup.

we had waffles this morning, cranberry pecan, with extra soy flour and ground flaxseed thrown in to help with the hot flashes.

Great idea - and if you like syrup on the french toast these will hold a bunch!

This will definitely be on my 'to do' list for tomorrow morning!
When I make my french toast, I use french vanilla coffee creamer instead of the milk, and add cinnamon. My grandbabies love it! But I will definitely try them on the waffles!!!
