Nance in Syrup
Recently found this at my local budget market that serves our various ethnic groups. "Yellow Cherries" popular in Latin American countries is what my searches say. The ones I got are rather small "fresh" processed in plastic trays, not glass jars. The sizable pits are still in.
They are interesting. In the syrup they taste sort of like an undefined fruitcake morsel... I like it myself and can see maybe chopping them up and using them in bran muffins or something. Or maybe chilled with a flan. Probably wouldn't have been a favorite with the hubby even pre-keto, flavor and texture both would have not appealed -- buy hey, it turns out he loved Lychees and I would never have guessed that.
Anyone have these in their background?

Interesting...I don't have these in my background, but I'd love to try growing them. We live in N. California, among the redwood and douglas fir trees, so you would think that they wouldn't survive here. That being said, I've tried a lot of plants from Brazil and Mexico that have absolutely thrived.
