I have a good friend with a birthday next week and want to bake her a cake but she can't eat anything with milk or any dairy products. Does anyone have a good recipe that would work? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Please check the ingredients, but I don't think Angel Food cakes have dairy. Maybe a strawberry glaze with fresh strawberries for frosting?? Or may be best to have birthday pie.

Boxed cake mixes are usually made with water. Sponge and chiffon cakes from scratch are usually made with water, as are some homemade chocolate cakes which use cocoa powder. These cakes usually call for shortening or oil, not butter.

I assume you can use eggs. If not, just google eggless cake recipes and you should find quite a few.

Other than that, I think Dee G is correct in recommending Angel Food.
