Hi Karen, I a TSP fan also. Use it in the dishwasher and laundry for better cleaning. Could you give me ratios for using it to remove wall paper. I'm up against a tough job soon. Thanks so much. Beth

I couldn't remember, but I asked DH. He said, "double whatever it says on the box". We used a spray bottle and really drenched the paper and let it set till it was good and soaked in. The paper peeled off with the scraper like a banana peeling. But WHAT A MESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yuck. I don't like that job but it sure looks good when the project is all finished and purty..

I like Pam Riggs idea using fabric softner. I have some more walls that need stripped, as soon as I get inspired to do something with them. I sponged painted in the living room, now to start on the other rooms. The wallpapers are about 20 years old.

Angry Wall paper removing fun............ NOT!!!

The fabric softener spray and paper tiger teeth worked best for me. The paper was put on the walls of the house when new and with no sizing or paint prep under it. It was a mess to remove, then to fill in the little gouges, then prime, then paint and finally new paper. But very nice when completed. I was told by experts not to paper over the old. Next time I will and save myself much time and effort. Hope all your attempts are much easier than mine were.

thanks for the tip. Never know when it might come in handy. My sister is buying a house and we plan on remodeling. Knowing this will come in handy!
