When you say, "skins", do you mean the peeling or the membrane?

I mean the peelings. You pull the membranes out when you juice them.

Since you have lots of oranges perhaps you can tell me if you have made candied orange peel? I made some once but have forgotten how. Help, please, anyone who knows how.

I have never made candied orange peel. I have been wondering myself how I could do that.

I'll bet this marvelous recipe could be done with lemons also. I just happen to have a big old tree in my back yard, full of lemons most of the year.
Thanks for the recipe, I'll pick some lemons today and put the rest of the ingredients on my shopping list.

They'll make marvelous gifts, with the suggestion to cook with the cider...Christmas is coming...
