I add a little sugar to cut the acid , or you can caramelize some onions and mix them into the sauce

My mother would put a tablespoon of sugar in her sauce. I don't make sauce from scratch anymore, but I should. The canned stuff has too much salt in it.

Who knows maybe it taste good that way. However, I'm not a big fan of soda because of the corn syrup
