Wow, thank-you for sharing the Cinnamon Swirl Bread recipe! Looks easy enough for me to make-lol. If I want Cinnamon Bread, our local bakery makes the best Cinnamon Bread. I have taken it into my work that is out of town (retired) and taken orders for the holidays from co-workers. Now I volunteer (again out of town-but closer) and will take the bakery's Cinnamon Bread into there and it doesn't last very long. I will try this recipe. Nothing makes a home smell as good as something baking in the oven.

I made this last night & it was absolutely delicious. So much better than store/bakery bought cinnamon swirl bread. I added the vanilla & DH & I just love it. Thanks for sharing this with us. It would make such easy Christmas gifts. You could make them in those mini aluminum pans & everyone would love them.

I put all the cinnamon mix in the middle, I didn't put any on the top. I draw a knife through back and forth horizontal just one time. The crust baked with no crumble. I made two more loaves and added raisins and then put a white glaze icing on the top. DH took those to deer camp. I used Saigon Cinnamon. It smells the best of all the cinnamon. |
Sorry about the full inbox...I've cleaned it up now to give more room for messages. Thanks for the info on the top of the bread. I think I will put most of the cinnamon/sugar filling in the center from now on & only a bit on the top in the future. I do like the crunchy top. This is a keeper recipe!

Tartan, that is a gorgeous loaf of bread. Oh my, this is so tempting to make. I'll have to make it after I weigh in at TOPS on Thursday. Thursdays are my cheat day; I figure I have 6 more days to work off the calories...LOL
