Wonder if you can put Apple's in batter? Has anyone tried adding different things to batter? Thank you for your help, Michele love this recipe.

I use the white cookie icing in a tube and decorated the loaf with lines of icing going across it. The icing dried so the bread won't stick to the bread wrapper when gifting. I don't put the cinnamon mix on top, I use all of it in the middle. If giving for a gift it's best to use the disposable baking pans as the bread will get very moist on the outside if wrapped up in plastic or foil wrap.

I buy clear bread loaf wrappers in bulk at Amazon. Inexpensive and are so handy for many baked goods. Used with the pretty paper baking pans it makes an impressive bakery gift for 1/4 of the cost. If you have a restaurant store close to you check there for different size paper pans.

It came out pretty nice even using Silk Soy milk in the recipe for those that have a regular milk allergy.

I had some leftover egg nog so I used that instead of milk. I used less of the cinnamon mixture and it was delicious.

I don't usually use "CUP " measurements here in the UK - has anyone translated the ingredients into grams or ounces please ? Thank you.

One cup = 8 oz. I am not good with metric at all so I can't help with grams.

I have a loaf with thinly sliced apples in the oven right now, will let you know how it comes out. Smells heavenly baking!
