The story behind the Indian Taco can be found at:

We make and sell about 1500 Indian tacos in 3 days at our county fair every year. I'd share our HCE recipe, but it's secret. I have found fry bread recipes on the web that are good. You can also take Grands biscuits, flatten them, cut a slit in the center, and deep fry. The meat mixture is chili, fried hamburger meat, and pinto beans mixed together, topped with lettuce, cheese, onions, taco sauce, jalapenos, whatever you like. Indian tacos are a staple for us Okie's, but my kids in Minnesota aren't too crazy about them. But, they don't like okra either!
