Two Ingredient Fudge!

This is the time of the year when you need a really simple recipe. Here it is!!!

One bag Chocolate Chips
One Can Chocolate Frosting.

In a microwave safe bowl (I use a 4 cup glass glass measuring cup) melt the the chocolate chips. (I melt mine at 30% power for about 5 minutes and there's no danger of burning the chocolate.) When the chocolate chips are melted stir in the frosting. Microwave on 30% power for 30 more seconds or until smooth. (If desired you can stir in a 1/2 cup chopped nuts.)

Line an 8" square pan with foil. Butter the foil to prevent sticking. (Or use Reynolds Non Stick Foil). Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan. Chill the pan in the fridge till set (about a half an hour.)

When set, remove the foil from the pan and cut as desired. Enjoy

Note: This fudge was such a hit I decided to experiment with other flavors. White chocolate chips with white frosting was wonderful. I stirred in some broken peppermint candy for the holidays!
I am thinking about a Peanut Butter version. Maybe peanut butter chips with chocolate frosting or chocolate chips with peanut butter frosting.

Just be sure to not give anyone the recipe!!

Let them think how you slaved over a hot stove making it for them, and then just got it so right!

What a neat and easy idea. Thanks for posting. I am going to try it this week.

lfstamper 12-12-2011 05:46 PM

Sounds wonderful. Plus, use your pizza cutter to cut precise squares.

Ellen 12-12-2011 06:23 PM

Try this:

1 18 oz jar of peanut butter
1 can of chocolate or white icing

place peanut butter in microwave safe bowl.
Add frosting, do not stir. microwave for 60 seconds
then stir till mixed. Place in buttered pan and chill

patchsamkim 12-12-2011 09:13 PM

A dear friend told me about this, can't wait to try!

Joanne9of12 12-13-2011 07:36 AM

Our family favorite of this includes either milk chocolate or vanilla frosting and peppermint chips. YUMMY!! I've also used milk chocolate frosting and chocolate chips and added a few drops of raspberry flavoring. :-)

crafty pat 12-13-2011 09:14 AM

I like to melt chocolate chip spread a thin layer and let if firm up then top it with the white chocolate with peppermint . It is so much better than the expensive store bought.

kso 12-13-2011 09:25 AM

Does it stay firm when at room temperature?

Mariposa 12-13-2011 09:26 AM

I'll have to try this! Thanks for the idea!!

If you let it get very firm and cool the white mixture as long as you can before pouring it . I have never had a problem.

Yummy is the right word. My all time favorites are peppermint, chocolate, or raspberry.

so does this mean to let it sit on the counter to firm before puttingit in the frig

This time of the year-fast and easy- is the name of the game. This recipe sounds like a winner.

romanojg 12-13-2011 11:47 AM

I make Rachael Rays 10 min fudge and it is this easy and great. The only thing I do differently than in yours and her recipe is that I have the silicone pans in different shapes and I spray them with pan and put the hot mixure in it and it's so easy to get out. I have a pan from Pampered Chef that has small cupcake size flowers and a larger bunt size and they both turn out really pretty fudge. I add nuts to mine as well.

michelehuston 12-13-2011 03:25 PM

Wow, I may have to try this!!! Thanks!!!

luce321 12-13-2011 05:29 PM

This is so easy and sounds delicious. My daughter is having a party this Sunday and I am going to make this. Thanks for the recipes.

ljs317 12-14-2011 06:20 AM

Oh the peppermint sounds wonderful.

I made yesterday and used milk chocolate frosting and milk chocolate chips...YUM. I also made some with vanilla frosting and a bag of peanut butter chips...YUM. I am thinking about vanilla, white chocolate and broken candy canes.

grandma nurse 12-14-2011 09:42 AM

Just don't use the whipped topping. Ask why I know?

I did the same thing! Will fix it tomorrow...

Tartan 12-16-2011 06:43 PM

Okay, I couldn't wait until tomorrow. It is out of the fridge and I used my pizza wheel to cut it into squares. Tastes relly good but it is a bit sticky. I will leave it in the fridge till tomorrow and see if it firms up. If not, I think I might try dusting it with cocoa and putting it in individual tiny cupcake cups. That's if there is some left by tomorrow.

Tartan 12-17-2011 06:38 AM

My fudge is perfect today and I put it into the little paper cupcake things. I used the Hershey's Chipits SPECIAL DARK chips with BC milk chocolate frosting because I didn't want it too sweet. This is a recipe I will be doing again maybe before Christmas. YUMMY!

emt2004 12-17-2011 07:02 AM

sound yummy! I'll have to give it a try.......Michele

lynn7448 12-17-2011 03:05 PM

I made a triple batch today using white chocolate chips and vanilla frosting. Also added some craisins and pistachios to add the red and green colors of Christmas. I am very pleased and will make this again next year to share with family and friends.

I want to try this one - and also Rachel Ray's 10 Minute fudge recipe .... but I checked her site but didn't find the recipe ? Can you tell us whats in it - or a link for it ?? Thanks !!

I am in trouble now! I just tasted a piece of the fudge I made this morning and it is YUMMY! I used milk chocolate chips and milk chocolate icing. Next time I will use butterscotch chips and vanilla icing and see how it tastes! And, of course for Christmas, white chocolate chips with vanilla icing and crushed up candy canes... and, and, and... I will weigh a ton by the time I try all the flavors I have in mind... I will have to just taste and then gift the rest of it to unsuspecting friends...
