Simple Cheeseburger Impossible pie on back of Bisquick box for us tonight. Served with steamed spinach for me and salad for husband. My husband likes it and it's easy. I do add extra cheese.

Yesterday, I made a big meal...Chinese Hot Pot. I worked all morning on it and it had lots of yummy things for people to dip in the boiling pot of broth. About ten minutes before serving, I asked the DH to get the hot plate to use keep the broth boiling. He couldn't find it...hummmm. He left it at my Dau's house at Christmas. So...about every ten minutes he would pick up the big wok of broth and heat it back up on the stove, then bring it back out to the table. He didn't dare suggest that I take the broth into the kitchen to heat up. He knew how hard I had worked on it.

I don't ever think that I'll se my hot plate again. Time to cash in some Walmart points and get a new one.

Tonight, I'm making fried rice with all of the leftover goodies from last night's dinner. It should be good.

I haven't thought about a hot plate in years. LOL I bought a hot plate when I got a new stove top, it was smooth top. My granddaughter loved to roast marshmallows over the store top so I was concerned she couldn't do it with the smooth top. We discovered that yes you can, but the hot plate was easier. I have no idea what happened to it.

Sounds like a good marinade.

You guys are way ahead of me. I tend to post what I made last night.

Szechuan green beans
easy stir fry noodles

The kid loved it!

We are having old fashioned midwestern comfort food--meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy.

For tonight it will be baked chicken thighs and will have stir fry vegetables for the side dish.

Last night we ordered gyros from our favorite Greek place. Hubby made hummus- his is better than any restaurant around here. Salad and stuffed grape leaves. So yummy.
Onebyone- your recipe for tomato soup sounds wonderful. My hubby loves that brand of tomatoes too. (Marzano)

Tonight I'm making Tuscan Ribollita. https://www.houseandgarden.co.uk/rec...russell-norman

I might also make some sort of small meat appetizer to keep the kid interested.

The ribollita was a hit. My DH ate it twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. That made it easy for me because I didn't have to cook all day. My son reluctantly ate it for dinner, once he wrapped it all up in a flour tortilla. To each his own. At least he ate something healthy.

Tonight I'm making a simple pork and mushroom ragu and serving it over polenta. Salad on the side.
