I made the cake. It has an odd texture, like solid pudding inside. I like it but it is not like cake.

We are having a dog's breakfast. There are so many containers of leftovers with just a little bit in each one. There will be butter chicken, bbq meatballs, sweet and sour chicken and a bunch of green beans that we grew last summer from the freezer. I am going to fry some onions until they are almost burnt but not quite. Then every container will be dumped in, add some frozen tomatoes from last fall. It will be the consistency of stew. It will simmer to marry the flavours then top with shredded cheese and serve with creamy coleslaw. My husband will think it's the best meal I have made in a long time. He loves when I make dog's breakfast. It's never the same twice.

I am in the middle of a "Sleep at Home" sewing retreat. Someone began discussion about different ways to prepare cabbage. So, I asked DH to make his bacon cabbage saute. He added thinly sliced Polish sausage. It was great.

Tonight I'm going with a stir fry: Soy Curls marinated in a ginger/oyster sauce, Shiitake mushrooms, scallions, sweet red peppers and pan-fried, golden, Chinese noodles. I may do a simple soup on the side.

Tonight we're having Penne with homemade sauce. It also includes mozzarella balls. (not in the sauce) We first had it with the mozzarella balls in Hawaii. of all places It's sooooo good!! My Mom didn't make it that way.

I think that I'll do Chinese green beans with chicken, rice and maybe those cookies for dessert. I'll make a double batch of the main dish to bring to my friend that I'm having lunch with tomorrow. I'll turn it into a "bowl" and add some other goodies to it.

I don't want my dogs to read this. They'd be so jealous! :)
