I cannot find the post. I remember someone posting a recipe for YELLOW split pea soup(I never heard of it), they said it was delicious and much better than green pea soup. Does anyone know where it is or have a recipe for it??

    Thank you

    Margie

I make it the same way as green, I just use dried yellow split peas instead of the green. My husband prefers the yellow and I prefer the green, so now I mix half and half. I find the yellow is too sweet for me. I made some 2 days ago;>

I had a French-Canadian friend who would only make yellow pea soup; she added cinnamon as one of the ingredients. Never did get the full recipe, but it was delicious.

Love Pea Soup. You have inspired me to leave the computer and to go the stove.

I follow the directions on the back of the bag of peas but always use the stock from a ham and mix whole & split, yellow and green. When I buy I buy them I get a bag of each and mix them in a jar to store. My husband likes it with a lot of the meat from the ham.
