My son and DIL make these all the time and they are super good!!! I have not tried to make them as yet but plan on it soon to have as snacks when we have company next month.

to "themachinelady"

Spice Crackers

Ingredients: 2 bags oyster crackers
1 cup oil
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 tsp dill
1 tsp garlic powder

Mix all ingredients except crackers
Put crackers and mixed ingredients in large ziploc bag
Shake
Let season for 1 hour
Put in festive bowl or eat right from bag

These are best eaten same day they are prepared.

Enjoy!

Lizzietish, I am not a fan of spicy food, how much less would I use of the pepper flakes?

shoreamhappy, the oatmeal you use in your meatloaf, is that raw oatmeal?

Hi, Neighbor,
I don't mean to butt in on your conversation, but... I use raw oatmeal in my meatloaf, too. I use the original rolled oats, not the quick-cooking kind. After it is mixed, I let it set a while so the oatmeal can absorb some of the moisture, then I bake as usual. This is a good way to add more fiber as well as more nutritive value to your meal.

Luce if you do not care for spicy foods I wouldn't use the whole amount this makes it pretty spicy. Maybe a quarter of this. There are 3 tsp in a TBLSP.

Never heard of this one. I have made the hidden valley ranch oyster crackers though, love em!

These crackers are so good. We call them beer crackers. I just mix the ingredients in a large bowl, add the crackers and mix well, and stir every once in awhile for a couple of hours. Amazingly they're not oily. Yummy.
