I'm in love with Hot Chocolate and found this recipe, adapted it and now can enjoy guilt free!!

Serves 1
Ingredients:
Baking cocoa, 1 tsp. (I use Hershey's Dark Chocolate)
Sweet n Low, 1 packet
Dash of salt or NoSalt
Dash of Cinnamon, (love the Saigon Cinnamon)
5 oz. of Boiling water, (I use 8 oz.)
1/2 oz. of Half and Half (I use more and omit whipping cream)
Whipped heavy cream sweetened w/Sweet n Low

Directions:
In a cup or mug, place all dry ingredients. Add boiling water and half and half. Top with whipped cream.
Enjoy!!

To make it a mocha hot chocolate I add 1/2-1 tsp. coffee crystals, either caffeinated or decaf depending on what time of day, and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla.

Thank you for posting. I love hot chocolate, but it makes my sugar spike. This is perfect!

I'm happy you're all going to give it a try, I really like it and if you're watching your carbs it's a great recipe for that too. I've even set up a Hot chocolate station on my island with the cocoa in a small glass jar, next to a salt shaker, then another salt shaker filled with the cinnamon, a small glass jar with the coffee crystals, a container for the sweet n low, a teaspoon measuring spoon and a one cup glass measuring cup for the water. I'm set to go at a moment's desire. I also add on occasion a chai mix for hot cocoa and sometime a cocoa chili mix for some extra spiciness. Yummy!!
