This is called Swedish Apple Pie, but I think you could use a variety of fruits to change it up some.

Swedish Apple Pie

2 1/2 C. peeled, cored and sliced apples. (about 3-4)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. sugar

1 C. white sugar
3/4 C. melted margarine
1/2 C. chopped pecans
1 C. flour
1 lightly beaten egg
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease, or spray, a 9" square pan, or a 7"x11" rectangle pan.

Fill 2/3 of pan with sliced apples. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and 1 tsp sugar.

In medium bowl, mix 1 C. sugar with the melted margarine. Stir in pecans, flour, egg and salt. Mix well. (Will be fairly runny) Spread over the fruit.

Bake in preheated oven for 65 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve warm or cool. Good alone, or with a scoop of ice cream!!

I'm going to try this!!! It sounds so good and the apples are good for you too. Just ignore the sugar. Maybe it will go away.
