My grandmother had a similar recipe but she put it in a round pie pan. But I think I'll try this one since I lost my grandma's recipe! Thank you.

I make something very similar but use apple pie filling from a can. Have also used blueberry or cherry filling. And bake in a round pan. But the dough sounds similar.

I made this today as my family was coming for dinner. It was very delicious. I found that 4 large Granny Smith apples covered the bottom of the pan. I would recommend spraying the pan with cooking spray or lightly greasing it as it was difficult to get out of the pan. It made a nice crunchy crust with tender apples underneath.
