Thank you for posting the recipe. Use to have a starter for bread many years ago and as happens to many of us we lose the recipe.

Quilting Grannie - what kind of flavors? How do you change the flavors, and can you add other things to this batter - like fruits or whatever?

Many years ago I use to make this but I used applesauce instead of oil. It is less calories. It tastes a little different from what I remember but is moister. Give it a try. I will again.

Thank you for the recipe. I made it at least 20 years ago yes it was a long time ago. Now I can start making it again. It will make nice gifts for friends.
