Have you seen the octagonal table toppers in Nancy's Notions? Seems very similar. You could probably figure it out by 6" squares and triangles. Take a look at the pic in NN.

Don't give up. WWe've all gone thru that at one time or another. Take 25 minutes one day and try grouping all your reds, blues, like to like etc. You would be amazed what you can do in 25 minutes....
