I won the second machine, the 677g. I found a manual on line and guess what, it chainstitches too. I may keep this one set up to chainstitch :) Here's hoping it gets though transport unscathed

I bid on this baby, labeled "defect machine" and got her home today

everything moves freely, the cam followers hug the cam edges perfectly. the 5 bobbins I bought on a whim for next to nothing...

oh no, no solvents, I just use oil, heat and patience...

thanks for the tip on the bicycle shop, I doubt we have triflow here and I just use sewing machine oil ...
