I butt extra pieces of batting together and zig zag the edges. They can be pressed flat and eventually you have a nice size that you can use for something else.

I would pack it in tissue and store it. As a baby quilt, it can't be that big and your daughter's child may someday be thrilled to have it.

Wow! This is a great quilt! I agree with everyone, make a darker border if you do any change at all. But don't beat on yourself too much, this is a VERY nice quilt.

I make scrappy quilts, too! I cut leftover...
I make scrappy quilts, too! I cut leftover pieces into 2 1/2" and 1 1/2' squares and 1' strips. it helps to use up the stash and anything made with scraps always looks great.

I made a one row sample of this and I LOVE IT! IT is very easy and quick. But if I do a whole quilt I will have to be very careful to be very accurate. Thanks for a great tutorial.

I had a problem with that same thing. I spray starched the heck out of it and it helped a lot with some and a couple blocks were beyond help. Try spray starch. It will help.
