When I worked at the library..We had a few heavy smokers..We used room air refresher in a bag with the book and seal it for a day..We picked baby power smell..So it wouldn't be a strong smell.

I agree with making the smaller blocks over with borders..Or buying new material and making bigger pieces to fit your stars..U can always use the smaller pieces later in a scrape quilt..also could u...

I agree the quilt shop people are usually good with helping..What u can do is pick the colors she told u she wanted then lay them out..and then pick what u like for the other 2 colors..I personally...

Kellyer21..I too had trouble with the back getting pushed into creases..After much sewing and taking out..I had always used safety pins to hold the pieces together..I found out It just does not work...

I vote for the gold and brown..It adds to the multi colors u have used..I LOVE scrape quilts..I also do hand quits with them...But all scrape quilts. In my opinion need solid or close solid borders...
