I read somewhere that using the poly batting is like using steel wool ...the fibres are abrasive and the quilts wear out quicker. I haven’t felt good about using it since reading this. Cost wise...

I like the colours you have chosen, I wouldn't add or subtract any, they wanted neutral colours, I like the first pattern for that.
