I did one string quilt and wanted that effect so I just put a navy blue strip in the center of each square and when I sewed them together they formed the lattice effect.

I use Connecting Threads cotton on the cones for almost all my piecing, sewing and on the longarm. I have no problems with it and the prices a are great. I think most threads are linty to some degree...
