I have the Janome 1600P-DBX and the feed dogs do...

I have the Janome 1600P-DBX and the feed dogs do not drop on it. I had to purchase a heavy duty plate (which is really just thicker than a normal plate) that takes the feed dogs out of play.

I have one on a Bernina frame, and though I love the machine, it works well one this frame, and it's better than a machine w/ a regular size throat, but you will end up with only about 7" of sewing...
