Took a class this week for stack and whack - queen size quilt - I am putting borders on, long arm quilting, and binding. Have recently had back surgery, so if I accomplish this I will have done well.

If the stains are not terribly large ones try working with a Tide stick, not my detergent of choice, but my life saver stick when it comes to quilts. Keep one at my machine, cutting table, etc....
